Within the School of Chemistry (University of Bristol) the Centre for Organized Matter Chemistry (COMC) is focussed upon the development of new science and new applications in the field of materials chemistry. Our aim is to bring together researchers from a multitude of disciplines to create and characterise complex materials and to find new uses for them. This interdisciplinary approach is the keystone of the COMC's vision, enabling it to pioneer new areas of world-class chemistry at the interface with colloids, polymers, biomaterials and functional inorganic solids such as catalysts, fillers and porous materials.
