Conclusion
Since the first work of Danishefsky and Nicolaou, a number of novel methods and strategies were developed.
Whereas it is difficult to envisage a large scale production of the Epothilone thanks to a total synthesis, chemical synthesis allowed the preparation of a large number of designed epothilones.
The study of it allows to establish the structure-activity relationship of the epothilones.
