Retrosynthetic analysis of Epothilone A according to Nicolaou

      Few times after, Nicolaou suggests a total synthesis of the epothilone A. The macrocycle is obtained thanks to two strategies :  

                - a macrolactonization including a Wittig olefination
                - an olefin metathesis including a stage of aldolization and a stage of macrolactonization

We will only develop here the olefin metathesis strategy.
