GLOBAL
ENERGY NEEDS
The
4th September 2002, sustainable development summit concludes it's time to boost
sustainable development to improve lives of people living in poverty and to
reverse the continuing degradation of the global environment. Commitments were
made to increase access to energy services and to better protect the world's
biodiversity and ecosystems. Undoubtedly, water and energy have to be managed
on a global scale. As energy needs of the planet are likely
to double within the next 50 years it has become fundamental to investigate
innovative energy production systems which afford low cost, low technology manufacturing,
no toxicity and no negative impact for the planet.
