NMR Data Structure
NMR data is available for immediate transfer from the NMR file Server (nmr-live-data.chm.bris.ac.uk).Older data will be archived onto the university Research Data Storage Facility and can be retrieved by NMR staff.
****Please download your own copies of NMR data ASAP****
JEOL data
The Jeol spectrometers generate individual files for each experiment (e.g. ab1234H-1.jdf and ab1234C-1.jdf).
The '-1' file is the FID and any '-3' file is a processed version of the data. Download the FID to open in MestReNova.
Varian data
The Varian spectrometers generate files which are stored in a sample folder (e.g. ab1234_Sample-ABC_date_01).Download the whole sample level data directory to open in MestReNova.
Within this, the individual spectra (1H, 13C etc) will be stored in sub-folders (e.g. cb1234_samplename_PROTON_001.fid), which in turn contain the FID file.
Bruker data
The Bruker spectrometers generate files which are stored in a sample folder (e.g. ab1234 Sample-ABC).Download the whole data sample level directory to open in MestReNova
Within this, the individual spectra (1H, 13C etc) will be stored in sub-folders (usually 10 for first experiment, 11 for second experiment etc). Note that with 2D bruker data the fid is the .ser file .
