Multiply Charged IonsA European Union Research Training Network |
|
The Final Meeting of the network took place in Prague, at the Villa Lanna, on the 2nd to the 4th of June 2004. See the Activities page for the programme and some pictures.
Welcome to the Homepage of the European Research Training Network, MCInet. Initiated in 2000, and ended in 2004, this network was aimed at furthering knowledge on the Generation, Stability, and Reaction Dynamics of Multiply Charged Ions in the gas phase.
The network was composed of eight different groups from five different European countries. The groups come from different backgrounds, i.e. Chemical Physics, Physical Chemistry, and Computational Chemistry. They thereby bring a range of experimental and theoretical expertise to the study of gas-phase processes involving multiply-charged ions.
The support for this Research Training Network comes from the European Union, as a part of the Human Potential Programme. Funding is provided for Research Fellowships at the pre/postdoctoral level, and for travel between the different groups.
Professor Davide Bassi, of the Department of Physics at the University of Trento, Italy, coordinates the Network.
On these pages, you can read about the scientific and technological importance of multiply-charged ions, as well as about the scientific work being carried out by the Network, you can follow links to the member groups, and you can find out about job vacancies related to the Network.
