The Halogens.

Introduction

The halogens are a family of elements which are in group VII of the periodic table. They are very chemically active and often used in everyday products. While existing in the free state as diatomic molecules, the Halogens are more commonly found as the ionic constituent in compounds with various other elements.
On this site I will be looking at the four most commonly encountered halogens; Flourine, Chlorine, Bromine and Iodine.
