Welcome to my virtual chemistry lab!

I am studying chemistry at Bristol University and I am currently in my second year. I have just finished my exams and hopefully I will be working on an industrial placement for Glaxo SmithKline next year as an x-ray crystallographist. 'A what?' I hear you say. Simply, it's the study of crystals using x-rays.

You probably think I am completely mad, and you are probably right, but here some of the reasons why I have chosen to become a chemist....

Clark Kent style safety glasses.
Everybody calls me Dr. Evil.
Exposure to all kinds of toxic and cancerous substances.
Access to 100% pure ethanol.
I never have to worry about what I'm doing Friday night - I'm working in the lab.
Knowing how to completely dissolve the bodies of my enemies.
I hope someday to be able to use the word "buckyballs" without bursting into a fit of laughter.
Because it's pHun :)
