The Chemistry of Vinyl

Although now supplanted in the popular consciousness by compact discs, vinyl still has aficionados in people who are willing to sacrifice sterilized sound quality for character.

It is also preferred by the strange nocturnal species known as the Disc Jockey, who continue to use the 12" as their chosen weapon. This site explores the chemistry behind the wondrous musical medium known only as vinyl (amongst other things).
