When Marie met Pierre he was teaching Physics at the
University of Sorbonne. In 1904, he became a
professor of physics and he was granted a laboratory. Marie became the head of his work.Unfortunately overworked and weakened by his exposure to radiation, he died when he was run over by a horse and cart.
