The
variation of temperature with time at several different points in the disc.
The
temperature rises fastest in the centre of the dye. The high thermal conductivity
of the gold keeps temperatures at the dye/gold interface very low. The polycarbonate
heats up but not to the same extent as the dye. It does however rise above its
glass transition temperature (Tg) which is at 140 degrees. The dye exceeds its
melting point (Tm) and it's decomposition temperature (Td).
