killer compounds

Nature produces some of the most amazing chemistry. The many organisms which inhabit the earth are fuelled by the same basic chemistry e.g. oxidation of organic carbon and all such organisms owe their existence to the amazing properties of amino acids. However a great deal of diversity is seen on the earth from the simple single celled organisms such as bacteria to the large mammals such as ourselves. This diversity is due to SMALL changes in the D.N.A between organisms. This slight difference in chemistry leads to the great diversity of life observed.

the earth, the biggest lab of all.

The presence of so many different species on the planet leads to a infinite amount of naturally produced compounds. These pages look at the unfriendly compounds, the killer compounds.
