When combined American and and British military forces invaded Iraq on the 19th of March 2003, they claimed the main reason was to rid Iraq of weapons of mass destruction.  Now months after the war with no apparent evidence of these weapons, we have to ask what are these weapons and why are they so much of a threat to us?

The term "Weapons of Mass Destruction" is used to encompass nuclear, biological and chemical weapons.  This website focuses on chemical weapons.  It gives a basic background on the history of these chemicals and what types are could and are used in the world today.  It looks at the types of molecule these chemicals have, with its possible symptoms and how it could be treated.
