Strychnine is an alkaloid obtained from the seeds of Strychnos or Loganiaceae:
Strychnos nux vomica Linnaeus Strychnos ignatii. It is a colourless, crystalline
powder and it has a bitter, metallic taste when dissolved in water, however it is odourless.
