I am a research chemist living in Bristol, UK. I currently work as a Royal Society Dorothy Hodgkin Research Fellow in the Organic Geochemistry Unit of the School of Chemistry, University of Bristol.

Career

2002 to date: Royal Society Dorothy Hodgkin Research Fellow working on cycling of organic nitrogen in soils.

2001 to 2002: Postdoctoral Research Assistant working on DeepBUG, an EU funded project to investigate bacterial populations in deep ocean sediments.

1998 to 2001: Research Chemist at Mastertaste flavour manufacturer

1995 to 1998: PhD at University of Bristol entitled 'The application of coupled HPLC-atmospheric pressure chemical ionisation mass spectrometry to the regiospecific analysis of triacylglycerols in edible fats and oils'
