Clare Galvani - A Quartz Crystal Microbalance for Adsorption Studies

Clare has joined the group from the electrochemistry and nanoparticle group for her final year. She is carrying out her research into a novel combined quartz crystal microbalance and channel flow cell (QCM-CFC) to study the adsorption and desorption of particulates at surfaces. This technique has been shown to be a useful method employing mass sensitive, steady state mass transport conditions to kinetic studies.
