Steve Cooper


     
 

Biography:
Steve is currently working on palladium (II) catalysed CH activations, and its applications in the total synthesis of the stenine ring system of Stemona alkaloids. Steve obtained his undergraduate degree from the University of Bristol in 2009 after completing a final year project under the supervision of Professor Davis on the synthesis of novel carbohydrate receptors. He joined the Bristol Chemical Synthesis Doctoral Training Centre in 2010.

Degree:
MSci. Hons. Chemistry, University of Bristol, 2005-2009.

Current Work:
The use of palladium (II) catalysis in the total synthesis of stemona alkaloids.

Experience:
Three seven-week research broadening sabaticals under the supervision of Dr Duncan Wass, Professor Derek Woolfson and Dr Carmen Galan.
