An addition of neat diethyl zinc - a pyrophoric reagent.
Our research interests are quite diverse but are all concerned with asymmetric methods. All of our research projects involve synthesis and all members of the group experience a broad variety of modern organic chemical reactions. Reactions. Many of these reactions are cutting edge asymmetric methods or transition-metal catalysed reactions. The projects themselves and the group as a whole promote a thorough understanding of stereochemistry. Our research necessarily encounters several of the challenging facets of modern organic chemistry including, symmetry, NMR and mechanisms. |
We are concerned with asymmetric methods and our two main areas of research are
i) Enantiomerically pure, novel non-aromatic heterocycles
&
ii) Applications of C3 Symmetry
