Antibiotics
are used:
Oxytetracyclines – Coopermycin, Terramycin. Oxytetracyclines are yellow, crystalline, tetracyclic (four-ringed) broad-spectrum antibiotics, that occur naturally in fungi of the genus Streptomyces.
Terramycin
Sulphonamides - Trimethoprim combination. These are bacteriostatic antibiotics, because they inhibit the growth of the bacteria, but do not kill them. Bacteria can develop a resistance to this drug and it's derivatives. They are usually given by mouth. Trimethoprim is an antibacterial drug that is active against a range of microorganisms. Sulphonamide and trimethoprim are administered as a combination.

Florfenicol is a synthetic, broad-spectrum antibiotic active against many bacteria isolated from domestic animals. It is primarily bacteriostatic, meaning is disable the bacteria from multiplying but does not kill it. It works against Pasteurella haemolytica, Pasteurella multocida, and Haemophilus somnus. It is not used for cattle of breeding ageyet because the effects of florfenicol on bovine reproductive performance, pregnancy, and lactation have not been determined. Side effects are loss of appetite, decreased water consumption, or diarrhoea may occur briefly following treatment. Drug should be administered intravenously.
