Decreasing of Ozone Layer
This is a secondary effect of a volcanic eruption, which has the ability to affect climate. It is thought that the aerosol particles that have sulfuric acid from the emissions of volcanic activity may destroy ozone.
This is when chlorine compounds from CFC – Chlorofluorocarbons if they are present in the atmosphere become converted to even more active versions due to chemical reactions with the sulfate particles. This can lead to harmful UVA and B rays reaching the earths surface, which may increase skin problems and lead to blindness along with many other health related problems.
