Rickki Connelly

Biography:
Rickki graduated from the University of Bristol in 2009, having completed his final year project with Prof. V K Aggarwal on the asymmetric synthesis of sesquiterpene natural products using lithiation/borylation chemistry. His third year was spent on industrial placement at GSK Harlow and Stevenage, where he worked as a medicinal chemist on autoimmune diseases within the Immuno-Inflamation CEDD. Rickki is now a member of the Bristol Chemical Synthesis Doctoral Training Centre, working with Prof. K I Booker-Milburn and Prof. T C Gallagher on protecting group free asymmetric synthesis.

Degree:
MSci. Hons. Chemistry with Industrial Experience, University of Bristol, 2005-2009.

Current Work:
Second generation protecting group free total synthesis of neostenine and development of asymmetric routes.
