Biography:
Laura is a third year PhD student working on the chemistry of hindered amides. Originally from East Yorkshire, Laura completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Birmingham with a final year research project under the supervision of Professor Nigel Simpkins on the synthesis of triketopiperazines.

Degree:
MSci. Hons. Chemistry with Study Abroad, University of Birmingham, 2007-2011.

Current Work:
The chemistry of hindered amides.

Experience:
Year abroad at ENSCM, Montpellier, France.
Summer placement with Dr Paul Davies, University of Birmingham.

Hobbies:
Clarinet, Saxophone, Cookery, Reading.
