The group has a strong 'synthetic' capability, which has helped develop a number of colloidal systems:
- colloidal particles with terminally-grafted polymer chains
- electrically-conducting polymer latex particles
- liquid latex particles
- nano-size (~10 nm) polymer latex particles
- organic and inorganic microgel particles
- core/shell particles
- monodisperse polymer beads with controlled pore size distributions
