Here is a 3-D Structure Of Lysozyme

Lysozyme was discovered by Sir Alexander Fleming in 1921

Lysozyme is a relatively small secretory enzyme that catalyses the hydrolysis of specific types of polysaccharides, comprising the cell walls of bacteria.  Lysozyme  has similar effects to that of penicillin, as it also weakens the cell wall of bacteria. Lysozyme is found in the secretions of lacrimal glands of animals (tears) and in  mucus membranes, gastric secretions, and hen-egg white.  50% of egg protein contains ovalbumin, the other proteins of egg white are conalbumin, ovoglobulin, ovomucoid, avidin.  the molecular weight of lysozyme is 14,000.  lysozyme has also been found in the urine of patients suffering from leukemia.
