Seamills Boys and Girls Club -
Project Aims
- Provide a garden for Seamills Boys and Girls Club, Sea Mills, Bristol.
- The finished garden will be complete with raised flower beds.
- Practice some skills, such as gardening, landscape design, project management and fundraising.
- Have fun!
Details
The Community Challenge is being organised in consultation with the University of Bristol Centre for Public Engagement and "Business in the Community". A group of staff and students from the School of Chemistry will provide a garden for Seamills Boys and Girls Club, Bristol.
This event follows two enjoyable and successful "Community Challenge" weekend events held in previous years, at Stockwood Community Centre in 2007 and Weston Park Primary School in 2006.

Fundraising
- Thanks to everyone who came to the Grain Barge to watch Messy Subjects, a great time was had by all and we raised £281 from ticket sales!
- Money has been counted from the quiz night; thanks to everyone who turned up and made it an awesome evening, we raised £187.42! We done to the winning Aggarwal team.
- Thanks to everyone who baked and ate at our launch cake sale - we were able to raise £219.94
Future Events:
- A Raffle of Store equipment - you can win multiples of everything you've ever wanted!
- A final cake sale (yes we know, we love our cake!)
