Nessrin graduated from Girls Education College a branch of King Abdulaziz University, Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. Her final year project was entitled "Superconducting Materials and their Applications". Nessrin carried out an MSc at University of Malaya, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia with a project entitled "Electrical Properties of Aligned and Random Carbon Nanotube/Polymer Composites and their Applications as Gas Sensors" . Nessrin is currently a PhD candidate at Bristol Centre for Functional Nanomaterials and her project is entitled "Cu₂ZnSnS₄ Nanoparticles from Structure to Photovoltaic Devices". Nessrin's PhD study is sponsored by Taibah University in Saudi Arabia, where she also works in the Physics Department.
