Companies are no longer adding
diacetyl. Whether these moves are completely necessary are still yet to
be determined.
 The
OSHA and other organizations realize the need for extensive
government and locally-funded research, and continue to monitor
potential incidents involving diacetyl.

2009. It discusses the recent updates in regards to diacetyl
