Abstract

A method for measuring the complete relaxation periods for spin-lattice and spin-spin relaxation times (T1 and T2) for single lines, in a single scan, with a spin-echo spectrometer is described. The sequences are of use in situations where T2 is greater than 10 msec, and spin-echo formation is not inhibited. For values of T1 greater than 1 sec a considerable time saving can be made over the 2-pulse sequence, for an equiv. no. of exptl. points on the decays.
