Emulsion Systems
Tania Garasanin (previous student, left the group in 2002)
This project focuses on emulsions made from PDMS fluids and investigations include:
- Measurements of emulsion sizes
 - The structure and lifetime of surfactant in the system
 - The structure of the stabilising layer
 - Monitoring the rate of creaming
 - Studying the effects of surfactant type on stability and creaming
 - The effects of PDMS molecular weight and structure on stability
 - Stabilisation of organics in the oil
 - Polymer surfactant complexes at the interface

Techniques used: Nuclear Magnetic Resonance, Small Angle Neutron Scattering , Light Scattering, Optical Microscopy.
This project is funded by Dow Corning
